In the Known World of the Current Middle Ages The Citadel of the Southern Pass is Located within the Kingdom of the Outlands. The Barony was established on October 1st, A.S. XVII (1983) by the Kingdom of Atenveldt. It became part of the Outalnds when the principality of the Outlands attained Kingdom status. The Founding Baron and Baroness of The Citadel were Sir Jochen von Balduinseck and Mistress Monika von Zell.
In the modern world Caerthe is centered around the greater El Paso, Texas area, including El Paso County, Hudspeth County, and a small section of New Mexico, close to the Texas border.
