In the Known World of the Current Middle Ages Caer Galen is Located within the Kingdom of the Outlands. The Barony was originally established as a Shire by the Kingdom of Atenvelt in A.S. XIV (1980).

Caer Galen became the sixth barony of the Kingdom of the Outlands on September 13th, A.S. XXXVIII when Their Magesties Irel and Rosalind invested Massimiliano Pontieri dal Sasso and Yazida bint Zarif the first Baron and Baroness Caer Galen.

In the modern world Caer Galen is centered around the city of Boulder, CO and encompasses Boulder and Broomfield Counties in Colorado.
