Children's Museum of Winston-Salem

The Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem was conceived by the Junior League of Winston-Salem as its 75th anniversary gift to the community. The Museum opened its doors on November 20, 2004, following a successful capital campaign.

The Museum depends upon earned (admissions, field trips and groups, facility rentals) and contributed (annual gala, annual fundraising luncheon, corporate, individual and grants) income for its annual operations. The Museum has a board of directors as well as a community advisory board.

Our Mission is to create a compelling destination for our community to play and learn by experiencing literature, storytelling and the arts.
