Most of the images here were photographed in the French Riviera and Provence, resulting from one week's exploration in southern France in a rental car. My favorite is Villefranche-sur-Mer, an exotic small town by the Mediterranean near Nice. Further north in Provence, Arles and St. Remy both won my heart with great Roman ruins, eclectic museums, and colorful outdoor market. Although it was too late in the season to see the sunflowers that inspired Van Gogh, fields of olive trees were equally captivating.
Paris is one of those places that I did not want to see through the camera lens as much. I spent most of the time there visiting museums and sitting at outdoor cafes to watch people going by. Ocassionaly, I would snap a few shots with my pocket-size digital camera.
