"I have always loved to draw and paint, but because of feelings of self doubt I totally avoided utilizing a talent that I realized later is a gift from God that could open up new doors of friendship with people. After a long hiatus, I found myself struggling through a painting that I worked on as a gift for my Brother and his wife. Because of the nature of the painting, a gift for this couple that had just lost a new born baby, it stirred up different thoughts about the pain and suffering that Jesus went though. I imagined how His death would have affected those around Him. I wondered whether or not they expected His death, or if they just decided to deny the truth of it."
