You'll find unique clothing and mugs with original custom artwork commemorating what proved to be the worlds largest gathering of Chris Craft Commanders, the 2008 Chris Craft Commander Rendezvous, Huron, Ohio, which was held on August 22-24 of 2008. The mugs are pretty special too. More items are added from time to time, including something new (coming soon) for the Chris Craft Commander Rendezvous, Huron, Ohio, August 21 - 23 2009.
All Commander Rendezvous products are being sold AT COST (the lowest cost possible through Cafe Press) with no mark up. It is not our intent to make a dime on any Commander Rendezvous activity, just to help spread the excitement and fun of being an extended member of the Chris Craft Commander Forum, Inc.
The commemorative T-shirt celebrates the first fiberglass Commander, which was the 1964 38' Express, designed and built in secret and unveiled at the 1964 New York Boat Show. You have two general views of the 38 Express to chose from, one shows a 38 Express thundering across the water, and the other shows an imposing frontal view of one of these awesome fiberglass icons at the dock.
Look carefully at all the color combinations and pick your favorite. Some of these artistic pieces use highly contrasting olive green and salmon, deep dark red with hot pink highlights, and some are using blue on aqua in a more traditional manner. All should be fashionable and fun at the Huron Commander event, or at your local marina. Show off your knowledge of boating, help support the Commander event, and wear a unique colorful garmet (almost) nobody else has!
You'll note there are some new images that have been added recently, including Reece Ewton's fabulous 1973 36' Commander Tournament Fisherman steaming up the Cumberland River, and Jim Peters's equally fabulous 1974 Tournament Fisherman on Lake Union, Seattle, Washington. Both boats are in original condition and powered by original Ford 427 big block motors. Stay tuned, because after these products have been added, there will be more!
