These images are from original encaustic wax paintings by Alexah Strongheart. The images were created by melting blocks of colored beeswax onto a special iron and then using the iron as the “brush” to create the image. Check out some of my original paintings at www.artbystrongheart.com.

Landscapes I keep [the original painting] on my work desk and use it as an escape on stressful days. The colors are soothing and at the same time lively and the composition is interesting. Kim W. |

Texture I Love Texture... and that is what the original paintings which cover these products are all about. |
Abstracts One of the things I love most about abstracts is that the viewer brings a part of themselves into the art. What do you see? How does it make you feel? What does it say to and about you? |
Mystical Eyes Eyes have always held great fascination for me... sometimes a little creepy, sometimes deep and compelling, and sometimes very mystical... what do you think of these eyes? |

Georgia O'Keefe(ish) I have been told by many folks that there are a few of my encaustic paintings which remind them of the work of Georgia O'Keefe... hmmmm, I wonder what they see? What do you see? |
