Mario Castillo is one of the pioneer muralists from the Chicago Public Art movement in the 1960’s. He started to paint murals in 1963 as a student at Lane Technical High School. He has taught Art at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and since 1990 at Columbia College Chicago.
