The "A Potter Is" design was originally created by BLC owner Judith Enright in collaboration with talented potter Mel Jacobsen for the online ClayArt community back in the late '90s. In 2006, she took her design and reworked it, adding color and new words describing the many attributes of potters around the world. 20% of sales proceeds go to the Orchard Valley Ceramic Arts Guild in northern California. The "A Dog Is" and "A Cat Is" designs were created in 2008. Inspired by Judith's popular Ultimate Urban Pet collection of animal sculptures, they honor the place our domestic companions have in our lives. 20% of sales proceeds go to the Humane Society of the United States.
