Biomedical Digital Libraries will encompass all aspects of digital library content and usage in biomedical settings, including academic medical centers, research and development institutes, and health care institutions. Biomedical Digital Libraries will provide a forum for discussion of the unique considerations of biomedical information needs, and both opportunities and constraints presented by health care settings. The research results of collaborative initiatives with information technology and informatics partners are appropriate and encouraged. Biomedical Digital Libraries is published by Scholarly Exchange (www.scholarlyexchange.org/). Scholarly Exchange is a facilitator, not a publisher. Their role is to assist scholarly journals while promoting free and open access to scholarly knowledge.
