You know it! This one is METAL to the core!
I am in the kitchen working at a restaurant. I'm making soup. I grab a large butcher knife and begin poking holes in the giant soup cans on the table to release the vacuum and the contents. A baby screams bloody murder out in the restaurant and distracted I look up while continuing to poke holes in the cans.
Bad mistake!
I look down to discover that I've just buried the knife about three inches into my own hand. The gaping wound is not bleeding but you can look down inside to see everything. The moving muscles look like raw chicken. They drive me to the emergency room.
Everything is sterile, chrome, and clean, just the type of place that death would enjoy dancing in. I think of all my past accidents, the cuts, the nails I've stepped on, the broken bones.
The nurse scrubs me inside and out like a she-demon. I try not to scream. I am only seventeen and this is the first time I've ever had stitches. A call comes in and the nurse steps out into the hallway to answer it. I am grateful that she has stopped her work.
"...the chainsaw cut through the tree limb and
then right into his leg," I overhear.
People around me move quickly in preparation. Suddenly the door is thrown back and a wailing man is carried in by two other people. All are covered in blood. The chainsaw has given new meaning to the words "gaping" and "shredded." I may never eat chicken again.
Suddenly my small stab wound pales in comparison to the screaming shredfest that has arrived and captured everyone's attention.
This guitar... it's kinda like that!
