Bartlett Publishing is always looking for new authors to publish. If you have a manuscript that you would like to see published, we could be the publisher you've been waiting for.
Before sending in your manuscript, be sure you are aware of the following:
- Bartlett Publishing only publishes materials available under an open license, such as the Creative Commons ShareAlike license (see http://creativecommons.org/licenses/sa/1.0/), the GFDL (see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.html), or similar license.
- Bartlett Publishing is a small publisher, and does not have the resources to do marketing campaigns like other publishing firms do. We do provide marketing for books we publish, but they are not as extensive as other publishers.
- Bartlett Publishing's royalty scale is different from other publishers. Contact us to find out more.
We like manuscripts best in some type of standard XML format (like DocBook), but any electronic version (like StarOffice or Word) will do. Bartlett Publishing usually does it's own typesetting, so the final product will not necessarily look like what you sent in. We will also provide editting for your book.
If you would like to discuss this further, please contact submissions@bartlettpublishing.com.
