“PigDog Farm” gets its name ecause it is, in part, a semi-tribute recording to a good friend of the band’s, Eric “pigDog” Sherman. As the band was getting set to record this CD, Eric (one of the most fervent fans of the band) found that he needed to relocate from his home state of Pennsylvania to the uncharted wastes of... Texas. Sad beyond believing that he was leaving all his best friends behind, and that he would - most likely - never see his favorite band again, Bad Hat decided to name their debut recording after their friend. Recorded in Pennsylvania in the middle of winter and with illness rampant in the band (most of the drum tracks were recorded with a 102 degree fever!), there was nothing that would stop Bad Hat from completing their recording. Local radio picked up several tracks from the CD, and Bad Hat even won an “Honorable Mention” for Best Unsigned Band in the Philadelphia area.
