ANIMAL LIFELINE OF IOWA, INC. was founded in 1987 and is a 501(c)3 Charitable Non-Profit Organization. Priority is given to unowned injured, ill, pregnant, nursing, orphaned, handicapped, abused, abandoned and elderly cats and dogs. We are a no-kill shelter and the animals stay with us until an appropriate "forever home" can be found. Most of these animals would be euthanized if we could not bring them to our shelter. The majority of direct animal care and fundraising is performed by our Volunteers.
