The Margery Allingham Society

Margery Allingham was a writer of high talent whose work has been acclaimed as 'for the connoisseur of detective fiction'. From her early fantastical phase, she went on to bring to the mystery the refinements of the novel of manners. She wrote twenty-four crime novels, three appearing under the pseudonym of Maxwell March, and sixty stories. Most of them feature her classic hero ALBERT CAMPION. Mr Campion began as a rather shady adventurer in The Crime at Black Dudley, but established himself as a true and distinguished detective in later books.

The logo is based on a sketch of Albert Campion by Margery's husband Philip Youngman Carter.
