This was a colour pencil work, which I don't usually use. I got the idea that the unicorns were employed as sort of bodyguards to the Sun, escorting him to rising and setting. Then I reversed the colour, after it was scanned into the computer, and turned them into the Moon escorts as well, which I'm sure she appreciated. Original unicorn illustration by Alicia Smith.
