Ataahua : Places : Venice : Santa Maria della Salute
On a regatta day, crowds gather on the steps of Santa Maria della Salute. Built in 1682 in thanks for the remission of a plague more than 50 years earlier, it was designed by a previously unknown architect, Baldassare Longhena.
