P.U.P.I.L. HISTORY:

People Uplifting People In Life, Inc. or P.U.P.I.L. A 501C3 NON PROFIT CHARITY was founded in 1999 in response to the growing statistics related to the lack of jobs, job training, computer technology education and skills, artistic jobs and skills in film, music and theater among economically disadvantaged youth, young adults and adults. P.U.P.I.L. is the outgrowth of the need to develope a sense of personal and spiritual empowerment, self-appreciation and create a purpose in the lives of people, in order to motivate them to reach their fullest potential. P.U.P.I.L. places a strong emphasis on personal and spiritual empowerment, community jobs and training, arts and cultural enrichment activities, education and training in computer technology, and providing funding to grass root non-profit organizations with the same or similar goals.


MISSION STATEMENT:


To provide education jobs and services to youth, young adults, and adults in the form of Arts & Cultural Enrichment Programs, Computer Technology & Educational Training, Community & Missionary Outreach Programs, Job Training and Scholarship Support.


GOALS:

To affect the lives of communities by promoting personal and spiritual empowerment, self-appreciation and the respect of individual life within communities and society as a whole.


To bring communities together through arts, cultural enrichment activities, jobs, job training with education and retainment of jobs as the prime objective.


To become an alternative funding source for grass root non-profit organizations with the same or similar objectives as P.U.P.I.L. throughout America and the world.

HELP PUPIL INC. CONTINUE IT'S MUCH NEEDED AID TO REVITALIZING YOUTH AND THE COMMUNITY BY PURCHASING GREAT ITEMS FROM ITS VERY OWN PUPIL STORE

PUPIL STORE ITEMS INCLUDE FUNDING FOR ITS RHYTHMTECH CLASS, WHICH HOSTS OVER 150 STUDENTS TEACHING THE RUDIMENTS OF MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS AND IS USED AS A VEHICLE TO KEEP YOUTH OFF THE STREETS AND GIVE THEM REAL OPPORTUNITIES TO BEING SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE...

OTHER PROGRAMS FUNDED THROUGH THIS STORE ARE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF "STARBOUND" LEGACY OF A RHYTHMIC NATION: A multi-cultural, multi-segmented, multi-faceted television show series, presenting success stories, spotlights on positive activities that are going on in our neighborhoods. It will showcase talented youths and adults, showing that anyone can attain their long-range goals if they are truly committed. A weekly-aired program, including:

* “Talent,” showcasing the hottest amateur and signed talent from all over the world, exposing them to industry representatives, promoters, etc.

* “Unsung Heroes,” profiling teachers, community activists, youth and the elderly etc. who are making a difference and positive impact on our communities.

* “Celebrity Spotlight,” profiling celebrity guests, interviewing them on how they made it to the top and what advice they give to novices.

* “Props for Who Didn't Drop,” profiling students who maintained academic excellence despite hardships and pressures of life.

* “Amateur Artist Spotlight,” a video resume, and candid interviews with artists that appeared on “Starbound Talent” segment.

* “Shoutouts Throughout,” acknowledgements to all those who participated in making “Starbound” happen, and audience recognition to all performers.

* “The Battle Box,” choir singing contests, disc jockey talent contests, comedy contests, “Battle of the Bands”, promotional give-aways and concerts, nature events and eco-fests, and “Starbound” on Location.

* “Dogs on the Set,” a scared-straight type forum where inmates speak to children about how they themselves got incarcerated, and how these children can avoid making the same mistakes they did.
