KNT 2007, Home for Christmas

By Amy Hinds Steve Moulds and featuring an essay by Henri Nouwen Home for Christmas, Knox Neighborhood Theatre’s ninth season offering, is a sometimes comic, sometimes serious look at how we celebrate Christmas. In an increasingly secular world, where Santa is a saint and Jesus is just an OK guy in sandals, this production pokes fun at and shines a light on our Christmas traditions. In settings ranging from a World War II battleground to an elementary school Winter Holiday Party, Home for Christmas is a series of short sketches and monologues ably acted by an inter-generational cast of twelve, many of whom are long-time KNT veterans. Home for Christmas will be presented on Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1st at 7:00 p.m., and on Sunday, December 2nd at 4:00 p.m., at Knox Presbyterian Church at 4747 Lyndale Avenue South. A social time with Christmas cookies and beverages will follow each performance. Reservations (suggested donation of $5 per person) can be made by calling the Knox Church office at 822-2181.
