GAYFEST NYC has been organized to produce exceptional new theatre works by and for the LGBT community and to develop the selected plays, over an extended period of time, into viable entities for theatres, producing organizations and other media around the world. GAYFEST NYC is committed to giving back to the LGBT community through our fundraising efforts and the generosity of our sponsors, advertisers and supporters. To that end, we have established a scholarship fund to benefit students of Harvey Milk High School. Last spring, GAYFEST NYC presented 11 scholarships to graduates of the Harvey Milk High School to assist with their college education, and established a weekly after-school theatre program for students.
