My father's family moved to Adelanto, just south of Ridgecrest CA in the 1920's. My Grandmother who lived to 100 years, referred to the Mojave desert as "God's Country", and some of that must have rubbed off on me! Our family has (mostly) been born and raised in the Mojave and we enjoy the views for miles, and clear sky, with beautiful starry nights, as well as we've learned to tolerate the wind and high temperatures. Death Valley Art is a project by our family: Sarah, Ian, Mary, Charlie, Isaac, and Andrea (SIMCIA).....enjoy!

Here You'll find Native American Indian petroglyph images on clothing, Desert wildflowers, sunsets, plants and animals of the Mojave Desert in California. We focus our selection on the area surrounding the El Paso Mountains, near Ridgecrest, CA. Here are Burro Schmidt's Tunnel and Bickel Camp, which are historic mining camps that date from the early 1900's. A portion of our proceeds go towards our favorite non-profit organization, Friends of Last Chance Canyon
We also have some fun images here, such as of a skeleton skiing Death Valley and our favorite operating system Linux.
