On June 21, 2008, a freak thunderstorm over San Martin, CA caused a series of lightening strikes. A number of fires broke out in the area, including one that would come to be known as “The Hummingbird Fire.” The fire threatened a number of structures, including the vineyards and hospitality center at Clos LaChance Winery. The fire was finally extinguished on June 24 with no loss of life or structural damage.
The owners and employees of Clos LaChance Winery would like to thank the California Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention with a fundraiser here on CafePress. All of the proceeds from the sale of “I Survived the Hummingbird Fire” apparel will be donated to the CDFF for fire prevention education.
Thank you in advance for your contribution.
