Welcome!
We at BeeBopATee, and all of our Bee-loving friends (and a heck of a lot of bees!) are very concerned about Colony Collapse Disorder (or CCD) which is a phenomenon in which worker bees from a beehive or Western honey bee colony abruptly disappear.
To give you some idea of how serious this problem is, in 2000, the total U.S. crop value that was wholly dependent on honey bee pollination was estimated to exceed $15 billion. Honey bees are responsible for pollination of approximately one third of the United States' crop species, including such species as almonds, peaches, soybeans, apples, pears, cherries, raspberries, blackberries, cranberries, watermelons, cantaloupes, cucumbers and strawberries.
But despite all this, we and "Buddy, the bee" maintain a positive attitude because that is the best way to tackle this, and any other problem. Please show your support for Bees, and positive and motivational thinking by wearing one or more of our designs.
