Baltimore Watercolor Society

Baltimore Watercolor Society was established in 1885 under the name Baltimore Watercolor Club. It is the third-oldest art organization in the United States devoted entirely to watercolor painting. Originally formed by by five spirited women who were frustrated by other Baltimore organizations that did not allow them to participate in life-drawing classes that featured nude models. These women formed this organization but it has grown to nearly 600 men and women in the Mid-Atlantic region who work in various watermedia. Our mission is to encourage, educate and promote professional excellence in the creation and development of original works of art, executed in aqueous media.
These products are offered as part of our celebration of 125 years as a vibrant organization. We hope you enjoy them.
