More Information

Can the average shadetree mechanic repair a WW2 jeep transmission? It consists of about 58 parts, not all that complicated compared to some modern equivalents. I figured that if I could repair the transmission anyone could! For the most part you don't need any specialized tools (any special procedures can be farmed out to a machine shop). Follow along with me as a I conduct teardown, inspection, repair and assembly procedures through discussion and demonstration. The CD consists of a series of web pages coupled with graphics and short videos demonstrating a given topic. Basic tools needed are sockets, wrenches, brass drifts, eye protection and some screwdrivers. To use the CD/video you must have a PC with IE 5.5+ and Win Media Player (latest version works best). The CD should autoload on insertion into the CDrom player, if it doesn't just browse to the "index.html" page and open the file. This is a great companion to the BOOK version!
