Welcome to the Begins At Home [Belize Challenge 2005] Store.

This shop has been set up to help meet the costs of my upcoming volunteer placement in Belize.

From late October/Early November 2005 I shall forego the luxury of paid employment in the UK and spend 6 months working alongside The National Council on Ageing [NCA]. The NCA is a quasi-Government body set up to, amongst other things, advocate for the rights of Older Persons in Belize.

Working alongside the NCA I shall amend existing and draft new legistlation that shall protect Older Persons rights. The main aim is to leave behind an Act for Older Persons that will benefit Belizeans years after I have left.

In order to meet my costs, including accommodation, travel and general living expenses I plan to undertake a range of fundraising activities. This shop is one of my activities and through your help I hope to achieve my target of raising £3500.

For every item you buy, excluding Magnets and Buttons you contribute $5 towards the Belize Challenge 2005 . Buying a pack of 10 Magnets or Buttons raises $2.50 per pack. If you decide to buy individual Magnets or Buttons your contribution shall be $1.25 per item.

The rest of the costs cover the base price which is predetermined by Cafe Press.
