AFTU opposes Breed Specific Legislation and supports improved non-breed specific dog legislation. BSL is based on FEAR not FACT and is NOT supported by experts. BSL affects ALL dog owners as the government will have unprecedented search & seizure powers and because other breeds will, in time, be added to the list.

Founders Natalie Kemeny and Tammy Williams have saved over 270 "pitbull" type dogs since the Windsor, Ontario, Canada ban went into effect September 27, 2004.

AFTU has witnessed first-hand the suffering of "pitbulls" and their owners that has resulted from this pointless legislation.
